So some of you have probably already ready this  The Shape of Things to ComeYou want change on DeviantArt.  Everyone here has something they would change.  We do listen and, yes, we can’t get everything done. Still, as a community, with any change we change together because we are all here together.
We found major talent to join the DeviantArt team this year to help us assume responsibility for major change and deliver on it.  In return, we will be calling on the whole community to exercise its responsibility of continuing to shape DeviantArt into the place where the global undercurrent of creativity feeds the future of popular culture.
DeviantArt is as binary as it is digital in its platform.  We serve equally those who produce art as those who need to see art and engage with it.  Creating the undercurrent is a function of tools as much as it is a function of community activity.  Getting these two to work in unison has always been the secret sauce of DeviantArt – and every recipe for the sauce begins
by now. If not, I'm sure it's at least waiting in your deviation pile somewhere.  I had some thoughts on it, so I wanted to post about it and I wanted to know what you guys (my followers and friends, specifically) think. Kao Emoji-69 (Bye bye) [V4]

DeviantArt has been making a lot of changes recently.  As with Facebook, I'm not sure I see the point in some of the changes. Some I really love while others I dislike.  Regardless though, I truly appreciate the dA staff constantly sending us updates explaining these changes (or soon-to-come changes) and keeping us informed on things. I know that probably sounds stupid, but that's seriously one reason why I hate Facebook so much; one day I will log on and everything will be totally 100% changed. Kao Emoji-38 (What in the world?) [V2] Most people hate change, myself included, so it makes it much easier that dA staff gives us a heads up and tells us why it's a positive change.  I, for one, am thankful they do that and definitely have found myself enjoying these changes more because I was given a heads up.

I've been using dA for a long time, and it will always always be "dA" or "deviantArt" to me. I just can't bring myself to type "DA"...it sounds so...foreign to me. .:sorry bunny:.

I'm super excited for the upcoming app though! Like most people of my generation, I am glued to my iPhone for many hours out of the day, so new apps are always appreciated. Kao Emoji-57 (Kawaii) [V3] Plus, this will make it easier when I'm on the road traveling or gone for any reason. This place isn't just a website to me...it's like my homebase. I get so much energy from browsing all of your art; dA is a community to me, and I could never stay away from it for too long like I could easily do with Twitter or Facebook. Kao Emoji-36 (Shopping) [V2] deviantArt is special.

As for the status updates...I dunno...there have been changes in the past that I disliked but gradually grew on me, so maybe this will be one of those?  Status updates just seems to be a bit too Facebook-y to me. But time will tell! Kao Emoji-45 (Lost) [V3]

What do you guys think? I wanna know what your mind is saying about all these updates (good or bad)! Kao Emoji-85 (Good Bye) [V5]
My thoughts sort of spewed into a little speech about why I love this community so much, sorry. Kao Emoji-92 (Kyaa kyaa) [V5]  So I think it's appropriate to end this journal with a short feature! Sign Emoji-03 (Thumbs up)
You guys rock. Sweetheart Divider
