Description

So I've spent hours on this photo. I wanted so badly to do a really awesomely stellar tilt-shift effect, but I really struggled. I'd like your honest opinions on it. C: Also, how do you guys get the tilt-shift effect? (I use gimp, so any program-specific stuff would be helpful!)

This is in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. <3

You'll typically have a better result aiming for tilt shift effects for photos taken from higher up, looking down. Tilt shifting an image essentially "miniaturizes" the subject, making it look like a model size version of itself, and it's hard to simulate that result in this particular perspective.
